Myeloid and Erythroid Progenitor Cells From Normal Bone Marrow Adhere To Collagen Type

چکیده
One of the mechanisms by which normal hematopoietic progenitor cells remain localized within the bone marrow microenvironment is likely to involve adhesion of these cells to extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. For example, there is evidence that uncommitted, HLA-DR-negative progenitor cells and committed erythroid precursors (BFU-E) bind to fibronectin. However, fibronectin is not known to mediate binding of committed myeloid (granulocyte-macrophage) progenitors, raising the possibility that other ECM proteins may be involved in this process. We investigated the binding of the M07 myeloid cell line to a variety of ECM proteins and observed significant specific binding to collagen type I (56% 2 5%). minimal binding to fibronectin (18% k 4%) or to laminin (19% 2 5%). and no binding to collagen type 111, IV, or V. Similarly, normal bone marrow myeloid progenitor cells (CFU-GM) demonstrated significant specific binding to collagen type I(46% f 8% and 47% f 12% for day 7 CFU-GM and day 14 CFU-GM, respectively). The ability of collagen to

متن کاملEvaluation of hematopoietic cells and myeloid/erythroid ratio in the bone marrow of the pheasant (Phasianus colchicus)
In order to study the normal hematopoiesis, cellular components and myeloid/erythroid (M/E) ratio in the bone marrow of the pheasant (Phasianus colchicus), bone marrow samples were collected from the proximal tibiotarsus bone of 16 clinically healthy adult pheasant. The bone marrow smears were stained using the Giemsa stain. The results indicated that the development and formation of b...
متن کاملRange Determination of Antigen Expression in Myeloid, Erythroid and Lymphoid Cell Lineages among Patients with Myelodysplastic Syndrome
Background: Myelodysplastic syndrome is a mixed clonal disorder of bone marrow progenitor cells. Understanding the pattern of the different lineage-specific, immature, and mature markers in myelodysplastic syndrome will help in setting-up the frame of reference to diagnose. Patients and Methods: We compared 60 bone marrow samples from 30 newly-diagnosed patients with myelodysplastic syndrome ...

Introduction: Increasing hematological diseases along with increased use of microwaves in different systems proposed possible correlation between them. Age of exposure to wave is also an important factor. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of radiation leakaged from microwave oven on hemopoitic bone marrow cells at pre and post pubertal. Methods: Fourteen male mature (2 months old...
متن کاملReplication of B19 parvovirus in highly enriched hematopoietic progenitor cells from normal human bone marrow.
The target cell specificity of the B19 parvovirus infection was examined by isolating highly enriched hematopoietic progenitor and stem cells from normal human bone marrow. The efficiency of the B19 parvovirus replication in enriched erythroid progenitor cells was approximately 100-fold greater than that in unseparated bone marrow cells. The more-primitive progenitor cells identical to or close...
